Patents, trademarks and intellectual property

Your patents and trademarks, up to date in every country and without missing a deadline.

We organise your industrial and intellectual property portfolio, monitor deadlines, notifications and annuities at all offices, and coordinate international filings. Acts that the law reserves to qualified professionals are directed and signed by industrial property agents, European patent attorneys and lawyers from our network, who are responsible for that work.

Frequently asked questions

What clients ask us most

Do you draft the patents yourselves?

No. Drafting applications and claims, replying to patent offices and representing you before them are the work of qualified industrial property agents and European patent attorneys, who direct that work and are responsible for it. We administer the file, prepare the documentation and coordinate the process so that you always know where your patent stands.

How is annuity management charged?

You can choose between a fee per file, a fee per annuity managed, or an annual subscription for the whole portfolio. The official fees of each office and the fees of local agents are itemised separately in each payment order, and you approve them before they are paid.

Does a trademark search guarantee that I will be able to register it?

No. The preliminary search detects identical or similar trademarks already registered and reduces the risk, but it does not replace a registrability opinion issued by a qualified professional, which we can commission when the trademark is important to your business.

What is a PCT application?

It is an international patent application that, with a single filing, keeps protection open in more than 150 countries for 30 months from the priority date (31 in some offices). When that period ends you must enter the national phase in each chosen country, and that is where we coordinate deadlines, translations and local agents.

In which countries can you manage patents and trademarks?

In Spain before the OEPM, at the European Patent Office, at the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), through the international PCT and Madrid routes before WIPO, and at the national offices of any country through our network of local agents.
