Frequently asked questions

What clients ask us most

In which countries do you act?

In Spain, in every European country including the United Kingdom, and in the United States, Canada, Latin America, the Middle East and Asia. In each jurisdiction your matter is handled by a lawyer admitted to the bar there, whom you meet before engaging us.

Who handles my case?

A lawyer admitted to the bar in the jurisdiction that applies to your matter. Horeb coordinates the team, keeps you informed in your language and answers to you from start to finish.

How much does a court case cost?

It depends on the type of matter, the jurisdiction and how it develops, because a lawsuit can be resolved in months or last for years. Before we start, we give you a written fee proposal: a fixed fee for defined work, and staged or hourly fees for litigation.

In what language do you serve clients?

In Spanish or English, even if the proceedings take place in another country and another language. If translated documents are required, we take care of the sworn translation.

Are sworn translations valid outside Spain?

They are signed by a sworn translator-interpreter appointed by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. To use them in another country, the Hague apostille may also be required, which we arrange for you.

Is the first call free?

Yes. The 15-minute initial call is free: it lets us understand your case and tell you whether we can help. Studying your case with your documents is the paid consultation, and its fee is deducted from our fees if you then instruct us on the matter.

What if my case is not viable?

We will tell you clearly. If, after studying the consultation, we find we cannot help you, we refund the full amount.

Shall we talk about your case?

The first conversation is free and without obligation. We reply within 24 to 48 business hours.
